At Ten Forward, our ethos is grounded in our dedication to a rigorous creative approach and the pursuit of an efficient, tailored solution. This begins with a concentrated listening process where we absorb the aspirations and specific aims of our clients.

Most clients will approach us with an idea of what they want in mind - whether through pictures, sketches or even words. We endeavour to use those as the foundation of our creative process and, combined with a realistic project size and cost, we work tirelessly to make those dreams a reality.

Ten Forward Studios has a lineage going back to the founding of Rothermel Cooke architects. Rolf Rothermel and Valerie Cooke founded this London based practice in 1968. Work load increased rapidly and the firm built up to some 40 people. Project sizes ran into enormous public housing estate re-planning and rehabilitation for London Boroughs such as Islington, Southwark, Camden and Tower Hamlets. Concurrent projects included hotel, office and private residential work.

By 1992 Rothermel Cooke began to concentrate on Caribbean work, starting with a large hotel and leisure project. In 2014 the renamed practice of Rothermel Been Studios became wholly owned by its local partner, with Rolf Rothermel being retained as senior consultant. During this period RBS designed the re-building and doubling in size of the Providenciales International Air Terminal. Ten Forward Studios retain a close link to RBS by participating in joint projects.

In 2017 Felix and Rolf Rothermel founded Ten Forward Studios, based in Bury St. Edmunds and associated offices in London, Turks and Caicos and New York.
